Everything you need to know about hiring from us

As we offer flexibility with pick up and drop off times, we like to confirm all bookings manually.

If you want an intial quote and check availability, please use our Enquiry Form.

If you have checked availabilty and want to go straight to booking, please complete our Booking Form.

We will then get back to you as soon as possible by email with confirmation of prices and availability.

You then pay a deposit of 25% of the hire price, the remainder will then be due 5 weeks ahead of your hire.

We always respond to every enquiry or booking, so if you do not hear from us, please check you junk mail, as our emails may end up there.

You will find up to date booking calendars on the vehicle pages.

The calendar shows firm bookings and open enquiries. If the dates you want, don’t appear to be available, contact us anyway as we may have other vehicles available.

Our prices vary by vehicle type and you can find rates on the vehicle pages.

We charge by 24hour period and can be quite flexible with pick up and drop off times.

We also have a minimum hire price which is equivalent to 3 days High season price, regardless of time of year.

We include as much as possible in our hire price, so there are no hidden costs. The following are included as standard:

The following extras are not included in the hire price, but are available on request:
• Gas BBQ – £20
• Bedding Set (Pillows, Duvet or Sleeping Bag & Towel) – £15 per person
• Porta Potty (Highland Terrier Only) – £20
• Side Tent/Awning (Highland Terrier Only) – £50
• Bike Rack up to 4 bikes (Highland Terrier Only) – £30
• Bike Rack up to 2 bikes (Clan Cruiser Only) – £30

We are flexible with our check in and check out times to fit with flights, trains and other travel plans, so just let us know your plans and we will let you know available times for your dates. 

We do charge by 24 hour period, so picking up in the morning and returning in the afternoon may incur additional charges.

If you cancel more than 4 weeks before your collection date the 25% deposit will be retained. If you cancel less than 4 weeks before your collection date, 100% of the hire costs will be retained. We strongly recommend you take out holiday insurance when you book your hire to cover all eventualities. Please visit our terms and conditions for more details.

Standard insurance covers the following:

• Drivers aged between 25 and 75 (between 23 and 75 for the Highland Terrier)
• Have held Full UK or EU Driving Licence for at least 2 years
• Have not been involved in more than one fault incident within the last 3 years
• Have no more than two convictions with a maximum of 3 points per conviction

Additionally drivers from the following countries are covered by our standard insurance:
• USA
• Canada
• Australia
• New Zealand
• South Africa

If you do not meet the standard requirements, you may still be eligible to drive our campervans subject to pre-approval form our insurers. Please contact us and we can check for you.

Yes, our insurers require a deposit of £1,500. We will require your credit card details to hold the deposit.
If you do not have a credit card, then we will require a BACS payment to our account for £1,500 ahead of your start date.

If you do not need standard insurance criteria, you may still be eligible to hire, but the insurance company may increase the deposit amount at their discretion.

Before you start your hire, we will contact you to get all the relevant documentation, which includes:

• Copies of the driver’s licence for all drivers
• 2 proofs of address for the hirer and each driver (Utility Bills/Bank Statements)
• For UK drivers, a DVLA check
• For Non-UK drivers and hirers, passport details

Yes, we have ample off street parking where you can leave your vehicle while out on hire.

Yes, all our vehicles are pet friendly if you would like to bring your pet with you. We do however charge and additional cost of £30 per hire if you bring your pet.

Don’t worry if you haven’t used a campervan before, we will send you a link to an instructional video before your hire which will show you all the features of your vehicle.

We will also show you around the vehicle when you arrive and you can ask any questions you may have.

Finally, there is a full instruction booklet provided with the vans providing details of how things work, details of insurance and breakdown cover, what to do in the event of an accident or breakdown plus guides on driving and camping in the Highlands.
